Is used for:
Hydrotalcite contains aluminium magnesium carbonate hydroxide hydrate which is an antacid. It alters the acidity of the stomach's juices, by binding to excess acid. This decreases the acidity of the contents of the stomach which may in turn help to relieve the symptoms of ulcers, heartburn or dyspepsia.
- Excess acid in the stomach (hyperacidity)
- Heartburn (gastro oesophageal reflux disease)
- Heartburn in late pregnancy
- Inflamed stomach lining (gastritis)
- Peptic ulcer
- Upset stomach characterised by stomach pain and burning, nausea and excess gas (dyspepsia)
Do NOT use if:
- Children under 6 years of age
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
